This utility will guide you through the upgrade or setup of 20/20 DataShed v1.0.27.2006-03-05 on your web site. This process is divided into steps, as follows:
Backup your existing files.
Test server environment.
Authenticate.
Update Language Nodes (in /xml_rss/languages.xml).
Test database connectivity.
Test Email Services.
Select Basic Options.
Select Model.
Prepare Database.
Update Files and Login.
Backup Your Existing Files
If this is a new installation...
We recommend that you store the original zip that you downloaded from www.2020applications.com file in a safe location. Do not store it on your web server (where it may be available for others to download), but perhaps save it to your local computer, CD-Rom, or floppy disk. Note that the file can be downloaded from www.2020applications.com again in the future if you need but it's best practice to keep a local copy.
If you are upgrading from a previous version...
We recommend that you store the following in a safe location:
The original zip file(s) that you downloaded from www.2020applications.com of all previous version(s).
The original zip file of this upgrade that you downloaded from www.2020applications.com.
A copy of all current files currently in use by 20/20 products on your web site. The easiest way to accomplish this is to zip the main folder and all of its subfolders and files into a single compressed archive. Perhaps mark it with the current date and save it on your local computer, CD-Rom, or floppy disk.
Note that the following files may be altered during this installation:
_2020applications_connection.asp
2020applications.mdb
setup.asp
2020admin/_locals.asp
xml_rss/languages.xml
If the setup fails for any reason, you may upload the original versions of these files and begin the setup process again.
